To ensure an optimal experience, we partner with U.S. higher-education institutions. We only support institutions that utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) listed below. This ensures a seamless and secure integration experience and allows us to focus on improving teaching and learning.

Manati is an AI-powered tool designed to enhance learning through instant, formative feedback integrated directly within a school's Learning Management System (LMS). Here’s a breakdown of its main features:

• Instant & Customized Feedback: Provides students with immediate feedback on their answers, even for incorrect responses, guiding them towards understanding. Instructors control the style and detail of this feedback.
• Rubric-Based Grading: Grades are determined by instructor-defined rubrics, not by the AI's internal knowledge, ensuring assessments align with teaching goals and minimizing "hallucinations."
• LMS Integration: Seamlessly integrates with existing LMS platforms (using LTI 1.3) for easy setup, automatic grade syncing, and roster management.
• Versatile Question Types: Supports open-response questions allowing students to demonstrate understanding beyond simple recall – evaluating logic, critical thinking, and complex topic mastery.
• AI Submission Detection: Flags potentially AI-generated content in student submissions to support academic integrity.

Manati is committed to providing a secure, reliable, and inclusive learning experience for all students and institutions. Here’s how we prioritize trust and compliance:

• Accessibility: We provide a VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) self-assess detailing our adherence to accessibility standards, upon request, demonstrating our commitment to inclusive education. Manati fully meets WCAG 2.2 AA standards, ensuring our platform is accessible to everyone.
• Security and reliability: Security and reliability are central to everything we do. We offer a HECVAT (Higher Education Cybersecurity Vulnerability Assessment Tool) Lite form upon request. Furthermore, Manati is fully FERPA compliant, meaning we prioritize the privacy and protection of student data at all times.

Data Privacy & AI Models

Manati prioritizes data security and privacy, ensuring a safe learning environment for institutions, instructors, and students.

During our pilot program, Manati will utilize OpenAI’s GPT-4o and 4o-mini as default large language models to deliver most AI-powered features. Importantly, no data from your institution or students will ever be used to train or improve any models. All AI processing is limited to the immediate scope of the assessment.

Pilot Duration & Limitations

We’re partnering with institutions committed to expanding access to high-quality formative feedback for their students. As a beta release, you'll have access to Manati’s full feature set, allowing you to explore how AI can support and scale effective teaching practices.

The duration of the pilot will be determined by the needs of the institution and the pilot participants. We will work with you to determine an optimal testing period that meets your institution’s needs and allows for thorough evaluation.

This pilot program is designed for mutual benefit – we’re seeking partners who are actively investigating solutions to provide more frequent, personalized feedback without increasing instructor workload. We believe technology should empower educators to focus on what matters most: student learning.

Cost & Licensing

Pilot participation is typically free for institutions throughout the program’s duration. Following the pilot, you’ll have the option to transition to a paid subscription plan tailored to your institution’s size – specifically, based on the number of full-time (FTE) utilizing Manati.

In select cases, piloting certain advanced features may involve a small fee to cover associated technology costs. This includes options like using specific large language models or enabling unlimited use of our AI submission detection feature.

Your insights are invaluable as we refine Manati and shape the future of AI-powered assessment. We’re committed to a collaborative pilot experience and will actively solicit your feedback throughout the program. Here's how we'll gather your thoughts:

• Personalized Training & Onboarding: Our founders will personally train you on the Manati platform and guide you through the initial setup. We may send a brief survey shortly after onboarding to gauge your first impressions.
• Dedicated Ongoing Support: We're here to help! Reach out via email for assistance with any issues or bugs you encounter. We actively engage with instructors using the tool, and our team will work directly with professors to translate their existing course content into interactive questions.
• Instructor Testimonials: With your permission, we may request individual testimonials to share with others showcasing the benefits of Manati.
• End-of-Pilot Satisfaction Survey: A detailed survey assessing overall satisfaction, feature prioritization, and potential long-term adoption plans.

To help us showcase the impact of Manati and foster broader adoption, participating institutions will be publicly listed on our website as valued Pilot Program partners. We may also request permission to feature anonymized data and compelling success stories in case studies or white papers. Please note that all shared feedback will be anonymized unless explicit consent is given for attribution. By joining the Manati Pilot Program, you agree to allow us to publicly list your institution as a participant.
